Writing for the Worcester, Mass. Telegram and Gazette, Susan Spencer interviews Todd Katzner on what he and colleagues are learning from a rehabilitated and released golden eagle:

“This is the first time to our knowledge that one of these birds has been tracked from this part of the country,” said Todd Katzner, a research assistant professor at West Virginia University who focuses on migratory patterns of golden eagles. Mr. Katzner was called in by the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection after the injured bird was found by snowmobilers near the state border in Amenia, N.Y., in February 2011.
