Students at West Virginia University can celebrate the 40th anniversary of Earth Day this Thursday (April 22) by listening to acoustic performances from local musicians from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on the Mountainlair Green.

The WVU Young Democrats, WELL WVU, the WVU Office of Sustainability and the WVU recycling program have teamed up to promote environmental awareness and sustainability on campus. A number of student organizations from the Davis College will be on hand to educate attendees about environmental issues.

While you’re down at the ‘Lair, don’t forget to stop by the kick-off for the House that WVU Built. Students from the Division of Design and Merchandising are raising money for Monongalia County Habitat for Humanity.
