Register for 'Venison 101: From Field to Fixin's'

Learn to safely process and prepare your deer from the field to become “fixin’s” on the dinner table. The Monongalia County WVU Extension Service will offer Venison 101: From Field to Fixin’s from 9:30 a.m.-2 p.m. Sat., Oct. 30, in G31 Agricultural Sciences Building. Representatives from the WV Division of Natural Resources will help participants identify deer that are unfit for consumption. The Hungarian Smokehouse from Carmichaels, Pa., will demonstrate proper ways to process the deer. A $5 course fee covers the cost of lunch (provided) and class materials.
