Writing for The Daily Athenaeum, Jessica Compton profiles this year’s Freshman Forestry Expo, held yesterday (Sept. 16) at Percival Hall:

“The exposition, which is held annually and includes a picnic, games, door prizes and demonstrations by clubs associated with the WVU forestry program, is a way to welcome freshmen into the program and to make them more involved.

”’It’s an ice breaker for the freshmen,’ said Dr. John Brooks, the faculty advisor of the Society of American Foresters and program coordinator for the forestry management program.”
