Purdue to honor Wilson

Matt Wilson, associate professor in the Division of Animal and Nutritional Sciences, has been named an outstanding early career alumnus of Purdue University’s Department of Animal Science. Wilson will be recognized at a ceremony on November 13, 2009.
Wilson earned his bachelor’s degree from Purdue University, and his master’s and doctorate degrees in the physiology of reproduction from Iowa State University. He came to WVU in 2000 as a post-doctoral research fellow and joined the faculty in 2002. He was promoted to the rank of associate professor in 2008.
In 2006, Wilson received the Young Scientist Research Award for the Northeast Region of the American Society of Animal Science and American Dairy Science Association.
