Highlighting healthy hounds
You want to keep your dog happy and healthy. Get some good advice and have a great time in the process at the third annual Healthy Hound Dog Fair from 12 to 4 p.m. Sunday, April 26, in Krepps Park in Morgantown.
The event, organized each year by West Virginia University’s chapter of the Professional Recreation and Parks Society, will feature guest speakers, giveaways, and canine contests to let you show off your prize-winning pooch.
Registration will be held from 12 to 12:30 p.m. Everyone who registers will be entered into a raffle for prizes donated by PetCo and other local businesses co-sponsoring the event. Speakers will offer sessions on pet health and obedience. Pet owners are invited to enter their hounds in a beauty contest, talent show and fitness competition.
While the event is free and open to the public, suggested donations of $5 will be gratefully accepted.
The Professional Recreation and Parks Society is a student organization housed in WVU’s Recreation, Parks and Tourism Resources program. It is dedicated to providing students with recreational backgrounds with information about job opportunities, internships, scholarships, and more through guest speakers, meetings, emails and other forms of communication.
