WVU key to new Pipestem package

Writing for The Charleston Gazette, Rick Steelhammer profiles a unique collaboration between WVU’s Aquaculture program and Pipestem Resort State Park:

“Pipestem Resort State Park’s new Trout Wrangler package, offered in November and April, brings groups of no more than 10 anglers at a time into Bluestone Gorge, where a mile-long stretch of the Bluestone River has been stocked with large trout.”

Ken Semmens, WVU Extension Specialist for Aquaculture and Adjunct Associate Professor in the Division of Animal and Nutritional Sciences, and Chad Pierskella, Assistant Professor of Recreation, Parks and Tourism Resources in the Division of Forestry and Natural Resources, are two of the participants in the project
