Floral Extravaganza blooms Oct. 18

designed by WVU students It’s a Floral Extravaganza from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Oct. 18! Come view the beautiful and bold floral displays created as part of the Floral Design course in the WVU Horticulture program. Discover the design ideas of other cultures including Japanese Ikebana and floral traditions of India. Students in the course want to welcome you to this showcase of unique student work covering arrangements from the American traditional styles to the contemporary European designs, corsages to dining table centerpieces. Hosted by the WVU Division of Plant and Soil Sciences, the event will take place at the WVU Greenhouse located on the Evansdale Campus. Students and instructors will be on hand to give demonstrations and answer questions. Information will be available on ordering arrangements and upcoming poinsettia sales in addition to the possibility of purchasing specialty dish gardens.
